Sometimes it’s the light that tells an entire story. On this evening at Château Mirambeau near Bordeaux, that’s exactly what we waited for: the minutes just before sunset, when everything is bathed in that soft, golden light and even the simplest moments feel magical. For this shoot, a wonderful wedding planner had realized a concept entirely to my taste – a dinner in the garden, decorated with so much attention to detail, and a small, stylish celebration setup in the château for the hours afterwards. For me as a photographer, it was the perfect backdrop to capture exactly this calm, romantic mood.

But what really made this afternoon special was the couple themselves: so warm, so easygoing and so full of joy that photographing them was simply fun.
